Gifting Can Improve Your Mental Health

Brighten up someone’s day
Gifting will not only make the receiver happy but leave you also feeling less stressed.
Studies shows that demonstrating kindness to others increases brain levels of dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin (chemicals for feeling euphoria) and reduce amount of cortisol (chemical for stress).

So the brain reward pathway is activated even in your own brain while giving. Endorphins are released producing feelings known as “helper’s high”. A small act of giving; in words, kinds, volunteer and gifts will also help your mental health as much as the person you are giving to.

There are quantitative evidence that we feel a greater sense of happiness when spending money on others as opposed to when we spend the money on ourselves. The look on the recipient’s face when they open their gift provides a psychological lift to you and triggers the release endorphins in your brain, producing the same euphoric feelings of pleasure

You feel elated and calmed.
